Two Teenagers and a toilet roll.

That’s right.  Just one toilet roll!

I have a new job.  It’s a bit of a distance away.

And since I have two older children (oops, they aren’t teenagers anymore!  But they still act like it, so the heading will stay!)

I had to be away for a whole week, to do training, and to get started at work (I do so love feeling like a doofus, because everything is just that much different.)  And so, I left the 20 yo in charge of the 15 yo.

Or maybe it was the other way around?

Tis hard to tell sometimes, since the 15 yo has two x chromosomes and is therefore able to think ahead?

But has teenage hormones and is therefore unable to get out of bed and catch the school bus!

Murphy’s Law of Mum being away?  P Plater’s car will be incapacitated the week before.

Joy, deep joy.

After a day at a horse gymkhana, dusty, tired, dehydrated, I start to pack for the week away.  Clothes, uniforms, power cables for appliances, food.

A quick trip into town for a shop:  to take away (mum) and to keep the troops fed (kids).

It’s true, we forgot to get corn chips, and pasta.

Oh, and toilet rolls!  So they informed me once I was gone.

Due to the teenage girl child being chronically tired, I rang the insurance company to find out if the P plater not named on the policy could actually drive the car once or twice (ie when his sister misses the school bus?)

Yes, of course……………not a flippin’ problem madam.  It will just be $2500 excess  ………………………………….    ………………………………………………………………………

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFFFG!

If I had that much money do you think I’d be letting the bluddy (not ) teen (anymore) drive my car?

Do you think I’m insane?  FFS!

Very glad I didn’t make that phone call near my new place of work, not such a good impression.  Totally normal, but not a first day item.

And so we come to the crux of the matter.

Is a toilet roll worth $2500?

You tell me!
